Online Robotics Course Details

The Nuts & Bolts

The SmartBots course is a series of guided online robotics courses for young people (minimum age is 10 years). The course participants are guided through building and programming robots. The course is suitable for beginners as we utilise easy to use robot kits and a block programming language (like Scratch). Each online course lasts from 5 to 6 weeks.

E-learning

The course is facilitated using an online e-learning platform that includes step by step instructions, video, explainers, photos, and hands-on challenges to create your own project.

Communicate & Collaborate

The participants will communicate with the course instructor through the provided online channels and also have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with other participants via a discussion forum. Optionally, attending local workshops will provide a chance for face-to-face interaction and to bring along their own built robots for assistance or to demonstrate their work.

LAND * AIR * WATER

The three parts of the course have 3 different themes: Land, Air and Water.

Land is about robots on wheels, Air is about drones, and Water about submersible water-crafts.

We will work on one part of the course each term, starting with Land.
